Students are brilliant, we just have to design a learning environment that allows them to evidence their brilliance! In my Building Math Minds Summit presentation I discussed the power of choice in the mathematics classroom. I talked about allowing students to have a choice in what and how they share their thinking.
How might we allow students to choose what and how they want to share their mathematics thinking online? I made a short video (below) to show some ideas using Google slides. Link to the slides is here. I’d love to hear about how you build upon this with your students. Share your experiences, ideas, and tweaks in the comments so we can learn together!
